Greetings- I am most impressed with your blog. I did want to bring to your attention that Stephen “Esteban” Minor (1760-1816 died in Natchez Miss), my 5th great grandfather, did have a daughter Mary Minor 1787-1814 with Martha Ellis. Mary married William Butler Kenner Senior and that is the line I am descended from. They lived in New Orleans. In a subsequently generation Charlotte Kenner married George Harding and moved to Phila. You can find my family tree at ancestry.com under Edie Harding for details of the other decendants. Cordially and in some way related to you, Edie Harding
Your blog quote is as follows:
“Martha Ellis was born 1760 in Natchez, Natchitoches, Louisiana She was the daughter of Colonel John Ellis of White Cliffs, located south of Natchez on the Mississippi River. There were apparently no children from this union. Martha died before 1791”
Below is a verbatim excerpt from Robert Charles Anderson FASG [Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists*], The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England 1622-1633 (published 1995; pages 1381):
“GRACE [PALMER, dau. of Walter-1 PALMER and his unknown first wife], b. about 1613 (aged 53 in 1667 [TAG (The American Genealogist): 24-43, citing WMJ (Medical Journals of John Winthrop Jr., 1657-1669, manuscript, Massachusetts Historical Society, Boston, Massachusetts) 764]); m. Charlestown [Massachusetts] 23 April 1634 THOMAS MINOR (this place and date given in several secondary sources, but primary source not found [Savage 3:216; Wyman 675]).”
